We have scheduled the first meeting of the Deportiva Cuenca Southern Express Fan Club for this Saturday at Moca Cafe Bar (www.mocacafebar.com) . The meeting will start at 4:30pm, followed by the 2014 World Cup qualifying match between Ecuador and Argentina. Moca Cafe Bar has offered free coffee, and tea for our first official meeting. We need input from people interested in being members (no fees) to determine the scope of the club. Already we have contacted Deportivo Cuenca, and have been offered tours of the stadium, training facilities, and opportunities to meet the players if members are interested. If anyone has any questions concerning the meeting, or have any ideas to suggest please feel free.

DeleteMy kids/grandkids played/are playing soccer. My son played for 13 years & is now coaching little ones. When I emailed him in CA re the fan club, he wrote back with this comment: "I would guess that the current most famous Ecuadorian player is Antonio Valencia playing with Manchester United in England.
