The "Flea" also know as Lionel Messi had 2 assists, and 1 goal as Argentina beat Ecuador 4-0 in Buenos Aries Saturday night. We had a group of twenty expat supporters on hand to cheer on the Ecuador side, but no matter how often Thomas Golden yelled red card, our team went down in defeat. Thank you to everyone who came before the game for our first official meeting of the "Southies" fan club, and staying to watch the game. We will be developing the club utilizing the input from our meeting, and please continue providing input and ideas through this site, or by email.

Those of you who left before half time didn't hear the great comment we got from the Cuencanas sitting in the corner. They said it was great to see Gringos actively involved in Ecuadors love of fútbol.
